Mike Piacentino on our boat the FV Junebug. Our pledge is that
only the finest fish are selected, individually dressed and hand packed
into special insulated shipping containers with frozen gel packs, and
delivered to your door via FedEx overnight service. In most cases, you
receive your FRESH (never frozen) sockeye within 36 to 40 hours out of
the icy cold waters of Alaska.

During the
fishing season, our base of operations is Homer, Alaska. Each
week we send out EMAIL NOTICES of coming ship dates and our
clients reserve their WHOLE fish (dressed with head removed) on
a first come, first served basis. We have a 10 pound minimum
order that includes shipping. Our salmon
will arrive at your door several days earlier than at the
supermarket.
You have the option of freezing some of your salmon, but get the
treat of eating as much as you want FRESH for up to a week,
as long as you follow our fish
handling procedures. (Can you tell we love OUR
salmon FRESH?)
Some clients like to "reserve"
fish for a particular week. Feel free to contact us about
that.
Our FRESH SEASON is short--from late
June through early August, and our fishing days are determined
by the Alaska Department of Fish & Game (ADF&G). We
typically fish on Mondays and Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
and ship on Tuesdays (arrival by 3 p.m. Wednesday) and Fridays
(arrival by 3 p.m. Saturday).
We are not a "mass production" fishery,
and want to develop great relationships with all of our customers. So we
don't offer "automated" ordering, but personal ordering via phone
(preferred) or email.
