Jerry Rudloff started fishing commercially in Alaska in the early 1970s and has fished all over Alaska, including crabbing in the Bering Sea,  (yes, he experienced and lived to tell stories just like that Discovery Channel show "The Most Dangerous Catch"), shrimping and halibut  fishing around Kodiak Island, and tendering in Prince William Sound and Southeast Alaska.  In the early 1990's, he and Debbie developed another business , Northwest Passage 2 Health, Inc., based in Bend, Oregon that allowed him to "retire" from fishing and enjoy raising his two sons.  Eventually, contacts from the other business started asking him to figure out a way for them to get fresh wild salmon. That is how Always Wild Seafood was born, as a way to share the experience of truly fresh salmon among friends.

Debbie Rudloff has a master's degree in holistic nutrition and formerly worked as a journalist and newspaper reporter.  In addition to her "summer" duties as order taker and coordinator of shipping, she writes and lectures about ways you can take charge of your health and practice prevention.  Debbie is also a National Marketing Director with JuicePlus+

Growing up on an organic cattle ranch near the Oregon coast, she was able to start loving wild salmon at a very young age.  In fact, between the vegetable garden, the chickens, the apple orchard, wild berries and even her own trout stream, Debbie never ate much of anything from the store until she went off to college.  She is a firm believer that as much as possible, we need to know where our food comes from!

Mike Piacentino lives in Ohio and has fished in many places around the world. One of his claims to fame is winning the prestigious West Palm Beach Fishing Club's annual Silver Sailfish Derby in 1993. His passion for fresh wild salmon led him to become part of our family fishery last year.  He spends a month with us every July and during the "off season" he is a trial lawyer in Central Ohio. When Mike is neither fishing nor practicing law you can find him at the OK Cafe, in Marion, Ohio.

Ryan Rudloff is currently a junior in college pursuing a degree in Business and wants to be an entrepreneur.  He also loves catching salmon and is a big part of our operation.  Having a small family operation is a chance for Ryan and Dylan (below) to learn the standards for maintaining the highest quality of seafood.  They are also learning the process of delivering a freshly caught salmon to the customer in peak condition.

Every crew needs a sparkplug, and ours is Dylan Rudloff.  Rarely without a grin on his face, he brings high energy to every day. He's a hard worker and willing to learn new skills aboard the Junebug. He and Ryan have the opportunity to learn from their Dad, who has earned numerous licenses through the Coast Guard, most recently a 1600 ton Master's License.  Dylan is currently a junior in high school and wants to attend college toward becoming a Drama teacher.
